Meet a Family of FOUR (Ages 7 to 14) Who Easily Learned To Sew With Our Step-by-Step Instruction!
What I love about Susan Marie and her story is that she didn't JUST use Kids Sewing videos to teach her 9 year-old daughter who wanted to be a fashion designer, she made sewing a fun family event where all four of her kids got involved.
So her oldest daughter 14, helped her youngest daughter age 7, and then her son age 12 also joined in, as well as Sylvia age 9. They all choose a series of 5 projects they wanted to make and then jumped right into sewing. |
And with lifetime access to the Pixie Projects
series of sewing classes it made it super easy for them to easily
follow along with step-by-step video instruction from their home.
There was no need to find a teacher in the area and be on a schedule or travel. Since all the projects in the Pixie Project series were simple and used less than a yard of fabric (and in most cases less than a 1/4 yard) they used scraps from grandmas donated fabric stash. |
Also, just one sewing machine, all taking turns to sew their projects.
Here Are The Projects Each Kid Made and What They Had To Say About Sewing Pixie Projects!
Isabelle - 7 yearsMade Pandy's Projects
"The potpourri sachet was my favorite project because I liked the smell. I learned how to sew by making these projects. Building the tiny tooth pouch was fun to learn. I have used it as a doll purse already! My favorite part about sewing is building my own things with fabric. I want to keep sewing forever!" Isabelle (age 7) |
Sylvia - 9 yearsMade Sandy's Projects
"I really liked sewing these projects! The scissors pouch was fun to make and the pin cushion was my favorite. On the sewing apron I struggled with sewing the straight line to make pockets. Now I know better how to do that! I learned how to pivot, backstitch and use batting in a project. I love sewing so much now that I can’t wait to do the rest of the Pixie projects. One of my dreams is to be a really good seamstress!" Sylvia (Age 9) |
Zachary - 12 yearsMade Andy's Projects
"This course was challenging to me, but I liked that. I really liked making the Pixie Andy projects. The bean bags were the most fun to do and use afterwards. I struggled with the hat, but it was a good experience for me. When I first started I was afraid of the sewing machine, but after finishing all the projects I want to sew more things! I am hoping to make more bean bags and share with friends." Zachary (age 12) |
Alexandra - 14 yearsMade Candy's Projects
"I liked having the step-by-step instructions to follow on these projects. My favorite sewing project was the purse. I liked putting my own touch on each thing and making it personal. I plan on finding more things to sew!" Alexandra (Age 14) |
Are You Curious to Hear What Their Mom Had to Say About Her Kids Sewing Experience?
What a blessing and pure enjoyment this sewing series has been to our family! I am a stay at home homeschooling mom, but I do not have the gift of sewing well and I had no clue how or even where to start to teach my kids.
This series was exactly what we needed! A huge benefit to it being on video is my kids could watch each section at any time. When they were ready to sew they could play a few minutes, pause it then sew that part, then play a few more minutes and it was just what they needed! I was on hand to help with necessary needs and give some advice on material, but they mostly worked independently. My youngest had to have the most help, but she enjoyed learning so much about the machine and actual sewing. My kids loved feeling like they had accomplished so much by the end of it all. The confidence in their skills now has them asking to sew more – even my son, who was afraid of the machine before starting this! |
A fabulous selection of projects and skills to learn in each one! I highly recommend this series for anyone wanting to teach their kids (or even themselves!) how to sew and learn new sewing skills.
It was a wonderful class for our homeschooling day. I learned quite a bit, myself, just by going through this series with them that I have confidence to do my own things.

Do You Want Your Kids To Learn How to Sew The Easy Way? I Can Show You Step-by-Step!
Can you imagine your kids learning to sew?
Wouldn't it be nice to add a hand skill like sewing to their activities, so that the creative side of their brain is developed, as well as the logical side?
Yes, sewing uses both sides of your brain, because of the math and measuring, and logical thinking required to figure out how something is assembled.
The creative part is used when finding fabrics and matching up colors.
But as well as the learning benefit there is also the boost in confidence your kids will get when they accomplish a project (that may have looked hard in the beginning).
I'd love to come into your home (on video) and teach your kids to sew, with you by their side as an assistant teacher.
I know you can do this with my help, because I have so many more success stories, than just this one!
Now, it's time to take your first steps on going on a fun-filled sewing journey with your kids.
