We did the Pixie Pandy projects and my girls are now truly in love with all things sewing!
Before taking your class, my daughters were both afraid of the sewing machine; I could not get them near it to even try for some reason. I thought that maybe your lessons would help; it was worth a try.
Well, because of your adorable look and simplistic approach -- they didn't even blink when you went to the machine!! They went right over, asked me a quick question about how to line things up, and voila! Suddenly both are more than comfortable sewing at my machine.
I am very thankful that my girls are learning this valuable skill. Your class was a wonderful balance of simple yet challenging; we feel like we are now ready to sew anything!
Sincerely much thanks & may your future have sleep-filled nights!!!

We are doing Pandy's Projects! My daughters are 8 and I have been trying to get them sewing with me for while.....I think your organization skills when it comes to projects are what made them fall in love with you immediately (and maybe the adorable hairstyle, too... :) ). My girls have both been comfortable with hand sewing for years, but for some reason, I couldn't get them onto the machine. I sew many things in our home, and I'm super excited that with the confidence they are already getting from these Pixie projects, my girls are now sewing right alongside me. :D <3 Thank you!

When we started these projects, my daughter, who is 8 years old, was so into your projects that I thought we'd finish more than one series. But...I was so wrong! Instead, she fell in love with sewing so much that she began making her own projects & asking me to help her figure out how to make specific things she thought others would like. Besides dolls, bears, and doll clothes for her siblings & friends, we came across this adorable tissue holder pattern (for the small, personal-size tissue package you'd keep in your purse). Well, she loved it so much that she decided she was going to make one for every single teacher/staff member at our church/school -- and, she DID! It was a triumphant mom/daughter moment when we dropped off a box of 30+ useful, thoughtful, and incredibly adorable tissue holders for the staff at our church/school! ...and, each one was a different fabric - we learned just how many scraps Mommy has in the scrap bin, but scraps are useful, too!!!
We, my hubby & I, were super impressed with her. I knew she was excited, but I thought she'd just be done after doing a few. However, she spent an entire afternoon and part of the next morning just working away at them - hardly took breaks to play. She truly enjoys sewing (thanks to you helping her get over a fear of the machine); and, she loves to sew with a purpose!
